FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Aug. 30, 2018)—RF Connect, a national leader of enterprise intelligent communications, announced today that it has been awarded contracts to design, build, and deploy code compliant wireless systems for the largest university in Michigan.
A member of the Safer Buildings Coalition, RF Connect is an industry leader in the design, deployment and support of high performance wireless and mobile solutions at high-capacity public and private venues around the nation, including some of the largest hospitality and entertainment venues, hospitals and healthcare sites, municipal and public facilities, retail sites, commercial real estate, high-rise office and condominium buildings, manufacturing plants and educational institutions.
Supporting Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), in-building wireless systems enhance frequencies used by First Responders, and is a requirement to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy in the State of Michigan. In accordance with nationally recognized codes and standards, AHJs verify alarm systems are installed, serviced, maintained and monitored.
First Responders must be able to communicate using two-way radios into buildings from the outside, with each other while inside and with their command centers outside buildings. Likewise, people inside buildings must be able to call 911 and receive instructions from areas of refuge including stairwells, elevators, and bathrooms.
“We are seeing an increase in businesses that are in need of credible and reliable turnkey solutions,” said Jeff Hipchen, Executive Vice President of RF Connect. “Our expertise in designing and deploying scalable, flexible solutions afford us the knowledge to answer the challenges many industries face in their quest to become or remain compliant.”
